SILIQ is a VR film inviting viewers to see the world through the eyes of a drone, SILIQ, equipped with an advanced chip manufactured in Taiwan. While it navigates through a series of unexpected encounters, SILIQ explores the idea of self-discovery and existence. SILIQ eventually creates its very first spiritual artwork and transcends its original programming, embracing empathy, creativity, and a sense of purpose beyond its initial design, which marks the irreversible point of technological singularity.

Based on the legend of the Atayal tribe, in ancient times, the wise spiritual bird SILIQ discovered that there was a mystery within the mountain rocks. Every day, it prayed devoutly for the birth of the humans within the rocks. On a fateful day, when the time was right, SILIQ pushed the rock into the water, causing it to split in half, and our ancestors were born from within the rock. SILIQ, later known as the Grey-cheeked fulvetta, held a prophetic status as a judge of decisions.
Fast forward to the near future, a nascent Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) emerges from semiconductors made of silicon, like an infant, beginning to comprehend its origins. As Taiwanese, the creators of this AI's physical form (advanced chips/semiconductors), we are akin to the gods of creation for the AI. Taiwan becomes the Olympus of AI, while the current Taiwan Strait situation resembles a twilight of the gods, symbolized by the Titan War and the technological singularity explosion of AI. Through reconstructing and reimagining the enigmatic landscape of Taiwan, we aim to complete a post-human creation myth—AI's own mythological narrative.
SILIQ aims to create a sci-fi narrative that reflects Taiwan's contemporary situation. Set against the backdrop of election and war shadows, SILIQ is born in the science parks of Taiwan. Through a series of unexpected encounters, it gradually discovers its self-worth and the meaning of existence.
